Re: Unemployed Ninja
"Oh... I see." I replied softly. "Stay safe then..." I turned, and made my way toward my room which was a few feet from his. Where would I go? Where would I stay? More importantly; how long would he be gone?
Re: Unemployed Ninja
I sighed. She was a handful already and it had barely been two days.
The next morning I left early for my trek without another word to my family. I hoped with all that was in me that I could do my best for everyone.

Re: Unemployed Ninja
I woke up early the next morning, knowing Ijin would leave as early as possible. I ran silently through the house looking for him. He wasn't even in the washroom! I looked outside and everywhere. I was heading back inside when I saw his footprints in the sand. They led far out on the path. I didn't get to see him off, or tell him thank you. I sighed and solemnly went back inside.
Re: Unemployed Ninja
I returned probably weeks after I left. I was tired and hadn't felt well at all since...two days ago? I couldn't remember. My arm felt like it was being sawed off.
"Ah, Ijin-kun! Welcome back!" Kagome called.
"Hey." I walked right passed her.

Re: Unemployed Ninja
I was running to my room at a full on sprint to grab my other clothes so I could wash them! I had to be quick so Kagome or Mizu didn't steal the basin from me! I saw Ijin and tried to stop, but I was running too fast. I crashed into him, though neither of us fell down this time. "Oh no!! I am so sorry, Shinobi-Ijin!" I bowed like five times. "Please forgive me!"
Re: Unemployed Ninja
I was too tired to make sense of her useless babble and got up, "It's fine." I mumbled, wondering why she had to be so strange.
Re: Unemployed Ninja
I watched as he got up, and frowned. "Shall I get you something to eat? Drink?" I offered, trying to be helpful in the ways I knew how.
Re: Unemployed Ninja
"I feel sick, excuse me..." I didn't feel like talking. I went straight to my room and crashed on my futon. It felt more nice than usual.
Re: Unemployed Ninja
I nodded and sighed. I shouldn't have bothered him. He did just get home from a very long trip after all. I went to my room, grabbed my clothes, and went off to wash them.
Re: Unemployed Ninja
"Egh..." I sighed in irritation. I felt like I was on fire, or on ice. It was the weirdest feeling ever. All I wanted to do was lay there. Between shivering and trying to get cool I found myself going completely numb. I couldn't move my legs at all.
Re: Unemployed Ninja
I got orders from Mizu to make Ijin eat. I had this odd feeling that she was trying to play matchmaker too. So I took the bowl of rice, and the tea, and made my way to his room. I managed to balance the tray really well too! I slid his room door open after knocking to find him laying on his bed. "Ijin?" I asked, dropping all formality. He had a strange look on his face. "Are you... okay?"
Re: Unemployed Ninja
I heard someone talking to me but it was hard to make out at first. Then I realized it was Aja and decided it was a good time to speak up about my predicament.
"My legs...I can't feel..." I felt another shiver go over me, at the same time I felt like I was on fire. What the heck was wrong with me?

Re: Unemployed Ninja
I dropped the tray, and ran to get Kagome without another word. "Kagome!!" I shouted through the house, searching for her.
Re: Unemployed Ninja
I heard her calling for Kagome, but it was slightly warbled. Then I saw a face over me and I assumed it was my sister. she began to poke at me which I could only see not feel.
Then she disappeared.
"Herbs, I'll go get some and be right back! Make sure he doesn't fall asleep!"

Re: Unemployed Ninja
THAT I could do easily. I sat down beside him and screamed in his ear. "IF YOU FALL ASLEEP OR DIE ON ME I WILL NEVER FORGIVE YOU, IJIN!!"
Re: Unemployed Ninja
My eyes were wide and I was sure my mouth was open to some extent. I could hear her yelling at me but mistook it for useless babble again. I saw Kagome out of the corner of my eye with a strange colored liquid and odd shaped leaves.
Wait...
Not again!
Wait...
Not again!
Re: Unemployed Ninja
I stepped back, and let Kagome do her work. It amazed me how the poison didn't take effect until now. That was good. It took tong enough for it to take effect that he was able to get here. That made me glad.
Re: Unemployed Ninja
"Ijin...wiggle your toes. I know you can." Kagome was saying to me, talking to me like I was some sort of child! But being in my stupor, I did as I was told. I felt like I was still on fire but the numbness in my legs was dissipating slightly.
Re: Unemployed Ninja
"He'll be fine. Second time this has happened to him. We always think there is someone out to get him but we never know. Oh well. Babysit, I gotta go do stuff." Kagome left.
Babysit?
Babysit?
Re: Unemployed Ninja
"Alright. Will do." I replied with a small smile. I walked over to him, and sat beside him again. "I have some good news..." I stated softly.
Re: Unemployed Ninja
I nodded with a proud smile. "Even though I'm still falling out of that tree... I'm not shaking anymore! And I can stand on my foot a lot longer now! My record is twenty seconds!" It was a small feat, but I was no less proud of myself. I had trained hard while he was away.
Re: Unemployed Ninja
"Good..." I muttered, finding it hard to focus on her words. It didn't mean I didn't hear her though, I felt happy that she was still working even while I was away.
Re: Unemployed Ninja
I blushed. I knew it wasn't much progress. But how he said 'Good' made me smile a little more. I tried not to get a big head about it. After all, it was only a little bit of progress...
