Re: Unemployed Ninja
"Weeeeeell...it's not like anyone misses that!" I started to jump in the branches here and there but for the most part I walked.
Re: Unemployed Ninja
"Mhm. I'm sure!" I replied, eyes narrowed. I walked the whole time. There was no need in making myself look like more of a fool than was previously thought of me. I dearly hoped he didn't decide to test my balance.
Re: Unemployed Ninja
The walk was slightly dangerous but no one knew where we were from so it didn't matter too much.
Re: Unemployed Ninja
I kicked rocks as we walked the path of complete and utter boredom. I got really good at kicking them in the direction I wanted them to go. Finally, I kicked one wrong... and it flew towards Ijin. I gasped. The pebble flew up and hit him in the butt. I immediately turned bright red.
Re: Unemployed Ninja
I felt something hit me and looked back, "What are you doing?" I grumbled, slightly agitated.
Re: Unemployed Ninja
I quickly began staring at the ground. "Just... kicking rocks. Sorry." To this day, I don't know why I apologized. I hadn't done anything wrong... there was no need for me to.
Re: Unemployed Ninja
"Doesn't matter." I rubbed my butt slightly just because there was a tingling feeling from the rock, that was unusual.
"And don't stare at me..."
"And don't stare at me..."
Re: Unemployed Ninja
"I'm not staring! I'm simply observing!" I declared, once again speaking before thinking. "I mean... uh..." And once I again I didn't look where I was going. Yeah. My foot caught on something, and I tripped. I ate dirt. It was nasty. I wouldn't recommend it as a meal.
Re: Unemployed Ninja
"Stop slowing me down! Do I need to carry you?" I barked, irritated by her klutziness!
Re: Unemployed Ninja
I narrowed my eyes, and crawled over to him. He was just standing there like an idiot. So I grabbed his ankle, and yanked in hopes of tripping him and making him fall.
Re: Unemployed Ninja
Unfortunately as a learned reaction I twisted my other leg and kicked her away, and hard too. Crud! The girl I was going to train I'd just hit with force I should have only used on enemies!
Re: Unemployed Ninja
I was sent reeling. I flew back at least six feet. I struggled to my feet, wiping the dirt from my face. I had half a mind to attack him. I was one of the top fighters in the class. Unfortunately, Ninjutsu is not just fighting. Actually, it was more about stealth... and balance. I wiped my nose to realize it was bleeding. I looked at the Shinobi in front of me and nodded solemnly. "Right. I won't do that again. Sorry for bugging you." I decided to shut my mouth after that. I felt like a total idiot.
Re: Unemployed Ninja
"No, I'm sorry! Your nose..." I moved towards her trying to help, "I didn't mean to, it was just instinct...I'm sorry!"
Re: Unemployed Ninja
I shied away. Yes, I admit it. He scared me. Even though I was a top fighter in the class, so was he. He was also taller, and stronger than me just because he was male. He had advantages I did not. So when he kicked me, it was stronger than any girl would be able to kick... ever. "I'll be fine." I replied softly before grabbing my cloak from my pack and holding it to my nose. It hurt really bad.
Re: Unemployed Ninja
"Hah...I'm sorry. Let's...try to at least be civil with each other." I commented softly, "Just because we're from Ninja descent doesn't mean we have to act it...unless it's completely serious." I explained, "I really didn't mean to hurt you."
Re: Unemployed Ninja
I couldn't help but stare at him. He didn't cease to amaze me. "I know you didn't. Instinct is instinct." I didn't comment on the 'Being civil' because I thought I was. Well, maybe I wasn't. I sighed. "Okay... deal. But... never mind." I decided not to say what I had originally planned on saying. I pulled the cloak away to find my nose was still bleeding. I couldn't breathe out of it either. It was probably broken.
Re: Unemployed Ninja
I felt bad for what I did. I stopped her in her tracks and looked directly at her, "Let go of it, I'll fix it for you." I had experience in these things, noses especially.
Re: Unemployed Ninja
It took all the courage I had just to stand there. You tend to become wary of someone after they kick your face in. My eyes were watering too. He probably thought I was crying... but nope! No crying this time! I controlled my tears! I was almost proud of myself. But the distraught look on the man's face diminished that pride into nothing more than recognition of that fact.
Re: Unemployed Ninja
I pulled her hands away from her nose which was bleeding pretty badly. All I had to do was pop it back into place and then wrap it. I hoped I could do this without causing her more problems. Geez, what a klutz am I?
Re: Unemployed Ninja
I stared at him, waiting for the pain to come. I didn't know how bad it would hurt. I had never broken my nose before. I had a sick feeling in my stomach as I waited for the inevitable.
Re: Unemployed Ninja
I put my hands on it, not caring about getting bloody and cracked into place. It looked like new but it needed bandages...
Re: Unemployed Ninja
I tried not to scream. I really did! But have you ever experienced the pain of someone putting your nose back into place? I didn't think so. So yeah, I screamed. I also forced myself not to touch it. I could move my nose again and he had it right. I instead shoved the bloody cloak into his hands. "Use dat. I don't really care if it gets ripped." I stated. My voice sounded all gross and nasally. I felt so stupid.
Re: Unemployed Ninja
"Okay, it'll be fine." I ripped it up and began to tie it, I needed it to stay tight in place for a few days. Thankfully noses are easily taken care of. I began to lead the way again, our journey was taking longer than I wanted it to.
Re: Unemployed Ninja
I walked silently behind Ijin, trying not to startle him. I often wondered what he would be thinking about when he was so quiet.
Re: Unemployed Ninja
The silence was very awkward but almost eerie too. I felt like someone was watching us.
"Shh...this is dangerous territory. Try not to direct attention to yourself."
