I took her hand and squeezed it tightly, "Doing well...Aja-sama..." I closed my eyes and seconds later was lost in sleep.

That made me smile. I leaned against a wall, and stayed in his room with him. After all, Kagome assigned me with that job.

When I woke up I was starving and for a brief moment I thought I saw an angel - but it was just Aja. Well that was a surprise. She doesn't look much like an angel.

"Oh, it's you!" I chuckled, "I thought you were someone else."

"Hmm?" I had dozed off for a moment. "Who did you think it was?" Who else would have the patience to watch you sleep???

"A former fiancee of mine. She died about...two years ago while I was away studying." I explained, regaining enough strength to sit up.

"Oh I see..." I replied, my voice barely a whisper. "Uh, would you like something to eat?" I asked, rising to my feet.

"Thank you." I answered, meaning that I was starving. I moved my toes to make sure I had complete feeling back before I got to my feet as well. I couldn't remember being poisoned that well but I felt fine.

I watched to make sure he could walk before fleeing to the kitchen to make him some food. My refuge, was my rice. Rice is the best food item I can cook. Sad, I know.

Thankfully it was my favorite food of all time and I ate it with pleasure before deciding it was a good time to tell of my journey. I went into all the details of what I'd done to help father with sneaking around and taking information. It was important.

I listened, eager to hear of a Shinobi's stories. I liked to hear all about he went here and there, and on this roof and that one. It was quite interesting!

"And I got this..." I tossed a black star on to the table and watched it slide and stop at the center. Kagome seemed fascinated by it.

"Wow, what kind?"

"It might be the thing that poisoned me, but I don't know. I found it next to me when I woke up early this morning."

I looked at it across the table. I had never seen a black star before. All of the ones we used in training were silver. "I think the black ones look nicer... aside from the fact that the don't glint in sun, or moonlight unlike the silver ones." I stated my thoughts before thinking. Did it really matter?

"Well...they are nice but sometimes they have hidden attributes." I explained, "And mostly you see enemy ninjas or assassins using them."

"Ijin-Sama, you really are complicated." Kagome said, her face reddening considerably.

I smiled. "I'll work very hard not to do that anymore then." I replied seriously. I really wanted to be better at balancing. A ninja's pride is in his balance.

"Good, because I don't want you to fall off a roof and die. Unless you'd rather go sneaking around and gathering information. It can be equally as dangerous and fun." I smirked.

Wow. I could have sworn he'd wanted me to fall out of that tree and die quite a few times. "I want to do whatever I'm told to do, Shinobi-Ijin. I'd just be grateful to be a Kunoichi at that point."

"Heh." I snorted a slight with that short laugh, why? I don't know. I got up and went outside bursting into the loudest belly laugh ever. I was pretty sure they could all hear me dying on the porch.

I could hear him laughing. I grabbed the black star angrily, and threw it in the general direction of the porch. It embedded itself pretty far in the solid wall. I then stormed off angrily to my room. Go bald, Ijin! Go bald!!

"Hey! IDIOT! Don't throw that thing again!" I barked, breaking out of my laughing fit to chase after her, "Get out back and I want you to sit in that tree until I tell you to come down!"

I whirled around giving him a death glare. I had never hated him so much before than I did at that point. I walked briskly passed him, not even giving him the formality of a "Yes, Sensei-Ijin." I just walked straight outside, not even turning to look back at him. I was fuming.

I tossed three throwing blades in her general direction, piercing the tree when she got near it.

"HEY! You forgot something." I glared at her, "I'll only tolerate so much from you, you hear me?!" I was fuming, probably worse than she was especially since she refused to show respect. Both my mother and Kagome were staring in shock, but not at me.

I flinched. I had been hit with one of those in training once. They hurt. "Yes... Sensei-Ijin." I stated quietly. I approached the tree, and pulled the knives out, tossing them to the ground. I then climbed the tree, and sat on the limb I knew oh so well. I still refused to look at him.

"See mama?" I heard Kagome saying, "Love at first sight!"
