Kay laughed happily at the bouncing little girl and grinned, "I'm here! It's so nice to see you, Katey! How are you feeling this fine day?" She asked.

"Excited! I can't wait! ARRON WHERE'S CHOCOLATE?!"
"Locked in my bedroom. Give me a minuet." He said.
"I'll go get her!"
"No, don't. You'll get hurt. Just wait till I'm done with this."
Katey frowned, then looked back at Kay grinning.
"I know you come get her!"
"NO!" Aron said louder than he had meant to, burning his hand on the stove.

Kay gasped at the sound of his voice being raised, it made her cringe. She went in to check on him and pulled something frozen out of the freezer, pressing it to his hand while she turned off the stove and moved the popcorn, all while leaning on her crutch.

"You should be more careful." She said with a soft smile, "I'll finish this, hold that on your hand..."

He frowned and glared at his hand.
"Sorry... Thanks.... I'll do it..." He pulled out a large bowl. "It's pretty much done anyway."
He took the popcorn back, and poured it into a bowl.
"Katey?"
"Normal."
He pulled out some salt, and put a bit on. Tossing the pop corn with his hands to mix in the salt.
Katey giggled at Kay, and motioned for her to bend down so she could whisper in her ear.

Kay bent over careful not to fall as she waited to hear what little Katey had to say.

"He's getting used to you now. He's worried is all. Also he must like you, cause he said sorry without me telling him to." She giggled again.
"I'll go get Chocolate now. Katey don't touch the stove it's still hot." He walked off across the room and down a short hall way to his room.

Kay stood up straight and went to sit down on one of the chairs. She still felt exhausted from chemotherapy the day before. Slowly she brought her head down and rested it on the table. Not meaning to look like she was falling asleep...

Arron came back in just as Katey was turning her head to one side.
"Ka-" "Shh." He cut her off.
There was a skittering sound as the cat ran off, and Arron came back moments later with a blanket.

Kay opened her eyes a little bit.
"M'sorry...dvd's in meh purse...." She mumbled trying to wake herself up a bit more. She couldn't remember being that exhausted. "Last time I was this tired...I was ten, maybe eleven..."

"It's okay... You just need some more sleep." Said Arron more gently than seamed even possible for him. "You and Katey can watch the movie a different time." He set the blanket on her shoulders.
Katey held tightly onto her brothers shirt, silent except for her breathing.

Kay started to try and stand, smiling down at Katey. "No, it's fine. I told her I'd do it with her and we already have the popcorn and snacks..." She said.

"Don't be stupid!" He shouted picking her up. "Katey understands. I'll do something with her." He took a deep breath trying to calm down. "It's fine. Lets get you back to your bed..."
Katey looked up at her brother eyes wide.
"Arron...."

Kay's face was pale and her eyes wide, she felt nearly stabbed again just for doing something before thinking of herself.
"Just put me down." She muttered, "You can borrow the movie. I'll come back later." She wished she could have said 'or not' but for Katey's sake she kept silent.

"Umm.... Yeah...." He put her down quickly, blushing slightly at his outburst. "I'll go to my room now." He said and walked down the hall and into his room without another word.
Katey patted Kay on the arm.
"He's right though... We can watch the movie another day."

Kay opened her purse and handed the DVD to Katey, "I'll go now...it was nice visiting you." She walked out of the apartment crying.

Katey sighed. "Adults are strange." She said and put the DVD on the entertainment center. Then she skipped to her room and looked out the window to see if Landon was outside again.

Landon liked to sit outside and play the guitar or the harmonica. At that point he was playing the guitar and singing a song he had wrote for Kay when she was in the hospital as a little girl.

Katey smiled and skipped out the door. Her brother wasn't around to ask anyway, and she wanted to listen to Landon play. He was more fun than Adults normally were, even more than Kay. Or at least she thought so.

Landon was actually out with his nephew, who was just a year older than Katey.
"Kay likes that one." Bradly said as he sat down on a step above Landon's.

"I know, don't look so bummed. She'll be okay."

"Landon!" Shouted Katey when she got down the stairs, running and hugging him around the neck. "Who's that?" She asked pointing over his shoulder at the boy one arm still around his neck.

"Katey, this is my nephew, Bradly! Bradly, this is Katey, she's the sister of one of the guys staying here."

"Hiya." Bradly waved, smiling from ear to ear. He was a handsome little boy with a big, chunky backpack on his back.

Katey looked him up and down blinking, after about a minuet of this she smiled back.
"HELLO!" She shouted excitedly. "I'm Katey! I live upstairs! 308! I like that number. Why are you here? Where do you live? I'm here with my brother because I missed him. My brother used to be a w... wall.... Something or other. It means he didn't like to go outside near people. He hid allot. Now he's better though. I have a cat he's back at home with mom and dad though. My brother cat is Chocolate. He's funny, like my brother was he doesn't like people."

Bradly seemed a bit shocked at her long speech.

"Hah! Brad! Katey likes to talk and ask questions."

He nodded, "I'm here with my uncle because my parents went on a second honeymoon to New York." He explained.

"Oh! How long? I'm only here for a little while longer, so I have to leave soon. Probably in a month or two or something. I don't really know but my mom said come home soon so I have to go. Whenever soon is.... Adults are weird. Sept for Landon he's good for an adult."

Landon strummed a bad chord on his guitar when he heard his nephew say that.
