Kay looked at him, "Fine."

"Hah! I'm not surprised. I honestly think you should be resting more than working around the house, Kay." Landon said.

Arron looked slightly happier again. "Good."

"Bradly this is Marshmallow. He likes to be petted, and fed treats, and held. He really likes to be held." She laughed.

Bradly pet the cat with a smile, "He looks like Bubbles, Kay's cat down stairs." He had gotten taller and was wearing that big backpack he had on last time.

Landon gave Arron a highfive and then looked at Kay, "Well...I better go get dinner finished up!" She walked to the kitchen, looking a bit more cheerful than a second ago.

"Well she looks a lot different than last I saw her...she seems perky though. You're taking good care of her right?"

"Yep!" Katey smiled. "They look exactly alike. Sept that Marshmallows a boy." Then she held the cat out to him. "You can hold him if you want."

"Well I've been trying to.... She doesn't like me helping her though." He sighed. "Wait up." He called running after her.

"Yes, I see." Bradly took the cat and held him carefully, "Hi there Marshmallow." He said, trying to be really careful with the cat.

Landon was enjoying watching this, he hadn't seen them together in a while so it was interesting.

Kay was at the stove making pasta and chicken was in the oven. She was whistling and enjoying herself immensely.

Arron just watched her for a moment. She looked so peaceful when she stood there like that. Then he asked:
"What can I do?"

"Sooooooo..... What have you been doing in all this forever time?!" She asked him, patting marshmallows Head.

"When it's time you can pull the chicken out of the oven because I can't bend over to do it." Kay said without turning to look at him, she was stirring the noodles and getting ready to put the garlic bread in the oven.

Landon elbowed Arron, "See? She does need you!"

Arron frowned. "Yeah. I can tell." He sighed, and got out a pan to put the garlic bread on.

"BRADLY! Are you listening to me?!" Katey frowned at him.

Bradly nodded, "Yeah, I was thinking! I do nothing but go to school and stay with my parents and then I came to Landon's and he said we were going to see Kay and you and Arron. Then he told me about the baby and stuff. But it's not here. That's disappointing."

Kay finished making the pasta and the chicken was soon done as well, "There! All we need now is the bread sticks!" She went to sit down, glad that it was finished.

Arron put the garlic bread on the pan, and waited for the chicken to be done, so he could put it in the oven.

"What are you talking about? The baby's here he's just in Kay's stomach." She pouted. "Anyway, who cares about the baby?! I've been waiting forever and ever for you guys to get here!!!"

Bradly's eyes widened, "WHAT?! But my parents told me they grow on trees!" He exclaimed, surprised at this bit of news, "That's gross...eew! And I am happy to see you, I was just curious..."

"Trees? What on earth. And you believed them?!" She couldn't help but laugh. "The whole thing is gross. But I won't ruin dinner for you." She smiled at him again.

"Kinda...but boys are complex creatures and we will almost believe anything." Bradly said.

Kay came to the room and smiled, "Dinner is ready!" She called and then went back to the kitchen.

"Yeah I know. Boy's are impossible. Your one of the better ones at least." She laughed again. "Come on we'd better go down... Else Kay will come back up here again, and then Arron won't be happy."

Arron frowned at Kay. "I could have done that." He said placing the now cut garlic bread on a plate.

Bradly snickered, "I already heard him scolding her down stairs...lets go!" He took her hand gently and went to the stairs.

Kay sighed, she screwed up again, "I'll let you set the table then..." She removed her apron and sat down with a weak smile. She really hadn't been happy just sitting around.

Arron set the table. "Sorry.... I didn't mean to make you upset..." He looked at the ground.

Bradly sat at the table next to Katey.

"You're welcome." Kay said as she started to eat, only really picking at her food rather than enjoying it.

Bradly and Landon at more like men than polite guests, they really enjoyed Kay's cooking!

Kay took the plates and was going to get dessert. The next thing that was heard was glass shattering on the floor.

"Arron!" She shouted.

Landon and Bradly jumped out of their seats at the sound.

Arron jumped out of his chair when he heard the plate smashed, and by the time she finnished shouting his name was in the kitchen.
"Kay?!"
Katey looked scared.

Kay was on her knees picking up the glass when he came in, "I think something is wrong..." She said, cringing with each new pain that overtook her. She dropped what she'd already picked up and started crying.
"Don't let Katey or Bradly in..." She said when she saw Landon come. He worked on picking up the glass, worried about his cousin.

Katey frowned when she heard this. Whenever adults didn't want children around it was bad, she headed for the kitchen.

Arron frowned, and picked up his car keys off the sink.
"There's a hospital not too far from here." He handed the car keys to Landon. "Go start the car, I'll bring Kay in a minuet." He then he turned to Kay, and picked her up carefully.

Landon nodded and ran out the door, "Stay here!" He called to the kids as he dashed to the car to go start it.

Kay closed her eyes and avoided speaking for several reasons. She was so afraid that she'd messed up something, she had no idea why this was happening. "It's too soon..." She whispered to him.

Bradly wrapped his arms around Katey, "Everything will be okay, Katey."
