Gwen laughed, "Medication works fast with Markus. Yeah, you should thank him; I think we all should, he's been such a big help here from the start. Even as a little kid he was working."

[PrincessUnique]

"I can't say I'm surprised by that." She smiled. "Because he's always reminded me of my brother. And he was the same. Hardest worker of us all back when we all lived together. Well I better get moving. I'll see you later Bye!" She called and skipped out the door without waiting for a a reply.
She walked out into the farmlands, until she found Markus.
"Hey!" She called waiving.

[Lumina]

Markus was pounding stakes into the ground when she called. He put up a hand to wave but said nothing. He wouldn't even make eye contact with her. Talking to her was not on his agenda.

She ran over not even seaming to notice he hadn't said anything.
"Wow.... Thank you so much! It looks like you've already gotten allot done! But then," she laughed. "I don't know anything about building houses."

[Lumina]

Markus wiped sweat from his forehead with a rag he'd always had in his pocket. He moved away from her and started to pound another stake down without any words. Her obliviousness was irritating him a lot already.

"Markus?" She said moving closer again. "Something wrong? Do I stink?" She asked playfully.

[Lumina]

Markus dropped his hammer and turned around, "Why don't you shut up and go kiss Gray or something?!" He finally barked, "Just go!" He reached down and picked it up after rolling up his sleeves, then he turned his back to her and pounded again.

She stared at him, and backed away. "Ah..."
She started but then couldn't think of anything to say for this. She ran crying from the field. She wasn't sure why he was upset, but it hurt to be yelled at by someone she respected so much.
'Is he mad about Grey? But why would he be?' She wondered through tears.

[Lumina]

A few hours later Markus felt a hard tug on his shirt and was turned around, a fist groping the collar of his shirt.

"Why did you yell at Claire?!" Gray barked, furious.

"Is she that stinking oblivious?! I saw you two kissing last night!"

Gray suddenly put down Markus, his face contorted in one of curiosity, "Wait...that bothered you?"

"HECK YEAH! I love her!"

There was an awkward silence between the two. Markus turned and went back to hammering.

Claire lay in bed face buried in her pillow. She had ran into Grey and told him everything. She felt a little better now, but wished that Markus wouldn't be so mad at her. She didn't understand it at all.

[Lumina]

Gray sighed, "I'm sorry, Markus. Sometimes life just...isn't fair." He shrugged and walked away. He was fine with how things were.

Markus sighed, life wasn't fair and life hated his guts.

Gray went to see Claire and knocked on her door, hoping she was feeling better.

She walked over and opened the door.
"Hi...." She said opening it wider. "I probably look like a mess."
She laughed a bit, but there was none of her usual joy.

[Lumina]

"You're fine. Markus was just mad because he likes you...he's jealous." Gray sat down, "We just need to give him some time and eventually he'll find someone, ya know?"

[PrincessUnique]

"Jealous?...." She stared at Grey. "Markus was?.... Oh...." She sat down next to him. "I see....."

[Lumina]

"He saw us kiss at the lake..." Gray said, "I can't help but feel bad for him, at the same time I don't want this to ruin our relationship. Markus is great, he just...gets lonely I guess."

[PrincessUnique]

She nodded. "Yeah..." She blinked once, and felt her eyes fill with tears again.
She hugged Grey to hide her face. It was obvious all the same, the tears soaked into his shirt. To her it had felt like her brother was back, and she was happy that way. She had never stopped to think that maybe Markus could feel differently.

[Lumina]

Gray held her close for a while, "I'm sure he didn't mean to yell...it's been a hard couple days for him. Let's just let him cool down and maybe things will get better, okay?"

[PrincessUnique]

She nodded, and wiped her eyes on her sleeve. "Yeah.... That's really all we can do I guess...."

[Lumina]

A year later things were great. Claire had her own house and Gray was still at her side all the time.

Markus mostly talked to other people though he seemed to be his old self rather than a depressed farmer.

A year later:

Claire was working on her garden. It was small and mostly consisted of flowers. But she found it fun. And it was something to do when Grey was busy. Markus didn't much talk to her, but when he did he seamed fine. However she felt farther away from him now than when they first met.

[Lumina]

Gray's shadow appeared over her, he was looking down at her with a big smile on his face.
"You have this place looking really good, Claire." He stated as he sat down next to her, "I'm not much of a gardener, but it looks good!"

[PrincessUnique]

She laughed. "I think it's doing pretty well." She turned to smile at him. "Not that I'm complaining but isn't it a little early to be out of the shop?"

[Lumina]

"Just taking a bit of a break." Gray said, "I couldn't really wait to...give you this." He pulled a blue object out of his hand, "It's...silly, I know." He gulped, "But I wanted to ask you if you want...would want...to marry...me?"

[PrincessUnique]

Her eyes grew wide. "Grey! I...." She paused for what seamed like forever. "Yes!" She answered finaly. "Yes, it's not silly at all." She kissed him.

[Lumina]

Gray kissed her back and wrapped his arms around her, he'd never felt this amazing before.
"Thank you so much for being with me, Claire." He whispered, hugging her once again.
