Markus opened an eye, "I don't see why not. I have lumber, I could probably get started on building a house."

[PrincessUnique]

"Building a house? Really?" She looked surprised. "You can do that?"

[Lumina]

"I built a new barn after the fire two years ago. I think building a house should be simple enough." Markus closed his eyes again, his head was beginning to hurt and he couldn't be sure why. He swam back to the shore and climbed out of the water, "I need to go home...I'll see you tomorrow and we'll discuss it."

[PrincessUnique]

"O... Okay!" She smiled. "See you later."
She stood up again, and slipped on her sandals; brushing off her pants once again.

[Lumina]

By the time Markus got home he was burning up. Stumbling to the mirror, he took a good look at himself. Pale in the face with a slight tinge of red at his cheeks.
"Darn..." He muttered, tossing off his wet clothes and changing into something dry, he got to his room just before crashing on his bed. He hoped he'd be better by morning. He had a lot of work to do.

Claire decided that if she was going to live here. She'd need some tools at least. Even if she only had a little garden like back in the city, she hadn't brought any of her things because her parents had everything she needed and she wasn't going to carry more than she had to with that plane. She frowned, now wishing she had brought them.
"But! It could be fun to get new ones!" She skipped into the Blacksmith shop, happy as anything.

Gray was busy finishing off a few things for the day when she'd arrived.
"What can I help you with?" He asked, trying to sound friendly, he really was sort of rough around the edges but lovable once he was known better. Suddenly the door burst open, it was Gwen.

"GRAY! I need your help! Something is wrong with Markus!" She was shouting more than anything over her breathless countenance.

"What? I saw him at the funeral and he was just fine! And why me? Where's the doctor?!" He seemed to be getting frustrated, pointing at Claire to say that he was with a customer.

"He's not fine now! I went to take him some brownies...you know to cheer him up and I found him collapsed next to his bed! JUST COME ON!"

"But.... I was just with him minuets ago... He seamed fine..." She frowned. "I'm coming with you."
She said pulling on Gray's shirt sleeve, then blushed and backed away.
"S.... Sorry...."

[Lumina]

Gray followed along, not really caring that he'd been tugged on a couple times today.

They made it to his house and sure enough he was out cold on the floor. He looked pretty bad too.

"I don't know, he has a pulse. Maybe it's exhaustion?"

"I doubt it..." Gwen muttered.

"IDIOT! FIND THE STINKING DOCTOR!" Gray was barking orders now, so much that Gwen just did as she was told instead of sticking around. She liked to avoid making him angry.

Claire stood in the corner watching. She felt useless. Also she felt bad for not realizing he was sick when she saw him only minuets earlier. Surely if she had been paying attention she could have noticed something. Surely she could have at least saved him.

[Lumina]

Finally Jin showed up and was able to check his vitals.
"Just like before." He said. Obviously this had happened before, though Gray and Gwen seemed slightly shocked yet upset.

"Before? So your saying he stopped on the medicine again?"

"Yeah, he'll feel fine and then crash. Help me get him to the clinic. I'll administer it by needle again." Jin lifted Markus by the arms while Gray took his legs. They were out the door in seconds.

"Sorry for the scare...Markus is a stubborn guy..."

"Gwen... What's wrong with him? Is he going to be okay?" She asked starring at the door as they left.

[Lumina]

"Yeah, he'll be okay. Markus takes medicine because he has a fairly serious condition where he gets the flu a lot...it's something in the air here that we're immune to but he isn't. So they keep him on medicine but he drops it a lot." Gwen sighed, "Jin is always mad at him for it."

[PrincessUnique]

"I see..... That sounds bad." She said though she looked relived.

[Lumina]

"Yeah. He's been in the clinic a few times this year. Sometimes stress or underlying upset make him sick pretty easy. He seemed great earlier." Gwen said as she tightened her pony-tail.

[PrincessUnique]

"He was happy when I saw him..... But maybe he's really upset... My brother... Could always hide everything from me... Maybe he's like that too."

[Lumina]

"Maybe so." Gwen replied, "By the way, Markus would have been glad to help you with tools, he has so many that he acquired over the years..."

[PrincessUnique]

"Oh.... I couldn't do that... I have some money, so I'll just get new ones."

[Lumina]

"Oh okay. Well...anyway, lets get back to the inn." Gwen walked outside.

[PrincessUnique]

Claire followed silently. Lost in her own thoughts.

[Lumina]

Markus was home the next day, back on medicine and looking a bit tired. He yawned as he brought his cows back into the barn since it was rainy.

Claire sat under the tree she had been under after running from the blacksmiths the first day. It had kind of become one of her hiding places. Somewhere she went to think, or in this case to run away from the rain. She laughed, she had gotten soaked despite her efforts. She should probably go see Markus soon. She wondered if he was doing better now, and her mood sank again.

[Lumina]

Markus could be seen outside dealing with the animals. Hard to believe on such a wet day that he'd keep working.

She sighed, and stepped back out into the rain. She figured she'd check the hospital first sense it was closer anyway.

[Lumina]

Jin sighed and looked around, "That boy." He groaned, "Always escaping before I discharge him...he's probably working again."
