Kirah hit the seat with a thud, and her first thought was; YOU IDIOT! You'll hurt the baby!!!! The baby kicked full force to show how much it disliked it's mother being tossed in the back seat of the car. Kirah winced with every kick, and every bump the car ran over... then she thought of Robert, and how he had gotten himself shot to keep her safe. The memories of him gave her new strength, and she knew beyond a shadow of a doubt that she'd get through this. Oh... Robert, my love... stay strong.

The man took her to an apartment building at the edge of the city where he promptly tied her up to a chair and took off the blindfold.

"I never thought I'd see the day when I'd get to kidnap two at a time, lucky me. More ransom." He said with a smirk. He pulled out a knife from his back pocket smiling evilly. Other than that he was handsome, in a rugged sort of way.
"Did he seriously think that he was going to go on living without a little punishment for killing my brother? I don't think so."

Kirah stared up at the man innocently... she had no idea what he was talking about... but she was shaking violently. She pulled against the ropes, but they were tied tight... she couldn't move... it was hopeless. All the strength she had gained from thinking about Robert, vanished when she saw the knife, and thought of her baby. She knew that whatever happened, it'd be more likely for her to live than her baby... she hated those odds. "Wh-what are you talking about?"

The whole shooting played back in his mind, "At the hospital, man comes out, grabs my brothers gun, and kills him!" The man brought the knife to her neck but didn't press hard enough to hurt her.

Kirah flinched, her whole before Robert came rushing back to her... how every single person hated her. "That was your brother?" She said weakly, terrified at what this man might do. If he was willing to shoot up a hospital, kidnap a pregnant woman AND hold a knife to her neck, who knows what else he could be capable of.

"Yes." Was all he could say as he pulled the knife away from her neck. "I'm back for revenge. Ever since that day I've been watching you and him, waiting for the right moment to strike." He told her pacing back and forth with the knife in his hand.

Kirah followed his every movement with her eyes.... she was certain the the chair underneath her would rattle apart pretty soon. "Why now? How is now such a perfect time?!" She was hysterical... she also had thought she had seen eyeballs one night outside their window as she stepped out of the bathroom looking for a towel. That was before she got the baby belly. Creeper.

"You're doting husband wasn't home, of all days he finally left." The man said. He was right. Robert had been on a REALLY long vacation since his big boss was seeing that he hadn't had a vacation since day one and that was a REALLY long time ago. So he hadn't left the house...and if he did it was always with Kirah.

Kirah stared at him. "Jeez, man!! Get a freaking life already!! How is it that I'm suddenly responsible for the actions of my husband?!" She was really getting angry now... her mood swings always happened at inappropriate moments. Robert was usually able to calm her down, and keep her from sticking her foot in her mouth, but he wasn't there now, boy the had a mouthful for this guy. "I'm not his mother, or his babysitter! I never told him to kill your brother! Why didn't you go off and shoot him instead if you really were as close to us as you say! You had PLENTY of opportunities!!" She took a breath. "And another thing! Your breath smells horrible, you really need to invest in a toothbrush and a comb... contrary to popular belief, you won't melt when exposed to water, and you should really learn how to handle a nine months pregnant woman!!" Wow... she was mad.

"Actually that's a perfect idea." He pulled a gun out of his back pocket, "Only I'll shoot you first and then kill him, who will rescue you now?" He asked with a smirk. He shot her in the arm on purpose since he still wanted some ransom money out of this and he sure wasn't going to give her back dead.

"I'm going to ask you, where is he? I need to have a little chat with him."

Kirah screamed, she really hadn't expected that he'd shoot her. Tears rolled down her cheeks, and she shook her head. "I'm not telling you!!"

-Three Days Later-

The man was sitting in the corner carving something and watching Kirah closely, he was waiting for his money and Robert had yet to get there. He frowned deeply and seriously thought about shooting Kirah again but he didn't, he changed his mind and went back to carving. He had tortured her quite a bit and didn't give her anything to eat either.

Kiraah had been sleeping, and woke to a sharp pain in her stomach. At first, it didn't register at all... then it happened again. She breathed heavily, realizing what it was as she counted between the contractions... five minutes. Oh.... why here? Why now? But she knew why, stress could cause early labor... especially in women close to their due date. She winced as another contraction came full force. A pained groan escaped her, and she wished she could curl up in a ball... but that wasn't exactly possible.

The man looked up, "What's wrong with you? I told you not to talk!" He shouted, this man was seriously heartless.

"Shut up! I'm having-" She stopped as she felt something wet on her legs. "My water just broke."

The man just stared in shock, this had no been part of his plan, "Crud!" The guy started to panic, he had no idea what to do about this. Of course until her husband came with the ransom it would be perfect torture not to help her. He went around and untied her hands.
"Deal with it." He said still panicking but not showing it on his face.

Kirah fell out of the chair when he untied her, she had no strength left in her body since he had decided to starve her, the ropes were what had been holding her up. She really had no clue what to do... there was no way she could give birth without a second pair of hands! She shook violently, and struggled to pull herself into a sitting position, but all the weight on her arm that he shot caused it to give way, and she fell back to the floor. Oh... what am I going to do? Robert... where are you?

And that's when she banging on the door came, the man opened a little slot and peaked out telling Kirah to stay there while he went to speak to someone. There was a lot of noise and gun fire as soon as the man went out. Robert and a few cops were the ones who came back in.

"KIRAH!" He exclaimed looking strung out and worried, he lifted her up off the floor gently and went outside with the cops. There was an ambulance waiting should anything go wrong.

Kirah wrapped her arms around his neck, and cried in relief. She was speechless, and couldn't really find the right words to say to him except. "I love you so much."

Robert helped get her on a stretcher since he could see that she was injured, but he had no idea that she was in labor at all. He did think that she was scared to the point of wetting her pants though.

"Are you hurt besides the bullet wound?" He asked as he climbed into the ambulance and sat next to her while the paramedics checked her over.

"Besides the fact that he stressed me to the point of going into labor? No... I'm fine." She smiled at him... there was no sarcasm in her voice at all... and her eyes glittered with joy at seeing him again.

Robert frowned but at the same time he felt kind of excited, he was just hours away from being a father!

"Okay, we'll get you to the hospital. Everything is going to be just fine." He gave her a kiss and held her hand, he was so glad to have her back. He could remember coming home and being unable to find her. Thankfully old friends of his and some cops were able to track them after the man called about the ransom.

Kirah kissed him back, and oddly enough... all she could think about was that yummy orange she had been forced to leave on the counter. "The poor orange... it was all naked with no one there to eat it..."

Robert was slightly confused and then he remembered what she was talking about. They got to the hospital quickly, fixed up Kirah's arm and then got her to a room where she'd stay for a while. Robert was there with her every step of the way.

Kirah gripped Robert's hand as tightly as she could... which wasn't too tight at all due to how weak she was. They told her to push, and she obeyed, they told her to push harder and she screamed that she was doing the best she could working on pizza from four days ago.
