"Does it hurt?" I asked, curious as ever. I'd always been naturally curious but I'd never seen too much about pregnancy and I was learning a lot - sort of.

I motioned her over, grabbing her hand and setting it to my stomach when she came. "He's about to kick again. I can feel it. And no, it's doesn't hurt. Although it does make me feel really sick when he doesn't stop." I jumped. "There he went again! Did you feel him?"

"Woah! I didn't know you could feel it on the outside like that..." Then my eyes widened, I was the first person to feel that kick on the outside...Ijin should have been. I felt sick suddenly, "Ugh...Ijin...please come..." I sighed deeply, why did I feel so bad? My brother was probably feeling worse.

"Hey!" I called, running over to the most serious man on the planet. How that woman could stand him, I had no idea! "Your wife told me to give you this lock of her hair. She says she needs a hair cut, and that she loves you."

"Ah... a hair cut..." I took the lock and kissed it. I felt like she was closer to me than ever. "Is there a window? I need to see her at least. There has to be some way I can at least see her!"

"No window... but if we cut your hair, you will definitely look a lot different!" I replied with a shrug.

"Shut up, I'm being serious..." I felt really nauseous. "I have to get in there...how can I get in there?" I was ready to choke but I couldn't, I couldn't cry. She wouldn't want me to do that.

"I AM being serious!" I exclaimed. "You could go in with me, but you need to look different. Thus, a hair cut! Besides, it'll always grow back!"

I tugged at my hair, which over time had grown passed my shoulders.
"Okay..." I chopped it off, shorter than it had been my entire life. I watched it all fall to the ground and looked at him, "I'm ready."

I nodded. "Tomorrow, we'll go see her. They don't send people in more than twice a day. I was the second person today."

"Alright." I sighed, "Let's get some rest."

"It's freezing today..." I complained, rubbing my arms together, my clothing was more for warm weather. I wished the barred window wasn't so high or I'd cover it. Oh well. I picked up the blanket and wrapped part of it around Aja and part of it around myself.

I agreed with her. It was very cold. "Some more of that hot tea would be nice right about now, wouldn't you agree?" I said with a laugh.

"I'm sure it would be." I said, holding a plate of hot tea, "You're cold?" I acted as though I was coming in nonchalantly but I wanted to grab her in my arms immediately. She looked so different, so beautiful - she was glowing.

It took me a few seconds to recognize him... he cut his hair. "Your hair..." I whispered before struggling to my feet. Koharu helped me up, then took the plate of tea from Ijin before I knocked it out of his hands. That was my place! Not a plate of tea's place!

I held her carefully, as if she'd crumble in my arms if I made a wrong move.
"Aja...Aja!" I nearly began to sob, I couldn't let her go now, not ever.

I cried too, putting his tears to shame. "You came for me..." I whispered though sobs. "I had begun to wonder if you'd find us..."

"I never gave up..." I whispered, "...ever. How could I ever let you and our child go?" I kissed her gently and looked down at her, "You're more beautiful than I remember."

I laughed. "How much sleep have you had? You're delirious!" I smirked. Something I hadn't done in quite a while. I ran my fingers through his hair, refraining from bursting into a fit of giggles. "I liked your hair long... but I like it better short like this. It really suits you!" I may not have burst into a fit of giggles, but I sure did blush.

"Eh...it's not the best. And I'm not delirious. I find you more beautiful than before I left..." Now I had to figure out how to get her out of here. It was sure to be incredibly noticeable, a fake guard leaving with a pregnant woman. That would be insanity.

"Hey," Koharu cut in, smiling that big, huge smile. "Let's break stuff, and say they attacked us. We wrap the women up loosely in a blanket, and take them out to bury them.... but never return?"

"AH! But that could hurt Aja and the baby!" Kagome barked, irritated with our idiotic thinking.

"Then we could escort YOU with us, saying we will execute you, that way there will be two people to carry Aja." Koharu replied calmly. That girl was cute, but jumpy.

"Fine. Let's do that then. But let us say that Aja died of illness, they are not willing to murder or beat pregnant women here." Kagome said.

"Alright." I felt a shiver go up my spine.

First I wrapped her up then carried her, she was slightly heavier than I remembered her being. We walked out with Kagome not far behind. She was tied though. We told our story and they believed it.

We made it out simply, but my back was hurting.
